It is our goal at Community of Hope to provide a place to connect with other believers while connecting with God. We have many varied and dynamic opportunities for adults to come together and connect. If you are looking to connect with a group in Fellowship and would like to get involved with adult ministry or get more information, we hope you visit our pages about Community Groups, Worship Volunteers, and Choir.
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42
We have various community groups that you can get involved with at Community of Hope. They are weekly and bi-monthly gatherings of adults who become friends, support and pray for one another, and go out into the community to perform works of service. Our community groups follow the same model of our mission statement: Know, Grow, and Go. These groups strive to know the Lord better, grow in fellowship and community through getting to know one another in the group, and then they go out and share the joy, strength, and love of the Lord with community.
We recently began a new adult ministry called Care group. This group is for people who are care givers to someone with a disability or illness. This group is being led by Carol Rhodes, a minister at Meridian Park Hospital.
Jim Clutts is a Chaplain with Legacy Hospital Meridian Park. He has made his prayer for healing support team available through our Health Ministry, and as support to our worship services on Sunday mornings. Pastor Gary Blumanthal also leads our prayer ministry. Come up front for prayer support after the 8:45 am or 11:00 am worship services. The prayer ministers share power of praying together with anyone who desires it. The prayer team also put together a 50 day Lent devotional to encourage congregants in their prayer lives. They are looking ahead with a desire to create an Advent devotional book, as well.
