Our History

Ground breaking 2000

Community of Hope has its roots in the Lutheran Church. We appreciate our heritage and the people of faith in the past centuries who have given us a foundation for ministry today. We also realize the Lord is doing great things through other church bodies today from which we can learn and strengthen our ministry.

Community of Hope was started as a mission congregation in November of 1992 by about thirty faithful believers. Their desire was to serve the Lord and the people of the community with the Love of Christ.

The congregation started off meeting in the Grange Hall on Stafford Road.  As we grew we moved to Boeckman Creek School. When Pastor Doug came to Community of Hope in 1998, the church began looking for a permanent location.  In 2000 we purchased our current four acre site and built the first phase; sanctuary and classroom hall. As the church continued to grow, with more children and adult ministries, we were able to expand and add the east wing classrooms in 2009.

We are grateful to the Lord, that over the years we have been able to expand the church facility. More important to us, however is our desire to build people together who serve the Lord and people in need in our community.
